Lessons & Resources

Tiller Strings connects students, families, and teachers across the region. Owner Megan Tiller is Suzuki-certified and maintains a small private studio, while also serving as a hub for teacher referrals, camps, and educator support. Explore lesson opportunities, find a teacher, or learn more about the resources we offer the string community.

Tiller Restrings

Restrings is our gently used program centered on reuse and access. Instruments, cases, accessories, and books are cleaned, evaluated, and either restored in-house or offered as-is, then returned to play.

Camps & Events

Red Wing Academy

Red Wing Academy is a four-day intensive camp leading up to a performance on stage with the Steel Wheels at Red Wing Roots Music Festival. Red Wing Academy is open to non-beginner violin, viola, cello, bass, guitar, mandolin and banjo students.

Concerts at Upstage

Occasionally we host live performances on our in-house stage known for years as Upstage - one of Harrisonburg’s most storied house venues. Check out some videos from our recent shows, and take a peek at our schedule of events.

We advocate for music in our community.
